Strengthening structures in companies and vocational schools in a democratic and diverse way - qualification for trainers and vocational school teachers. Basic and advanced knowledge on the topics of discrimination and diversity in the world of work; support in the development of own projects for companies or vocational schools.

Project target

Trainers and vocational school teachers are sensitized to the issues of right-wing extremism, racism, conspiracy myths and other topics and enabled to support a democratic culture of debate and democratic attitudes and diversity in the company. By qualifying this target group of multipliers, it is possible to have a lasting effect on the democratic attitudes and actions of young employees – even beyond individual cohorts.

Target group

Vocational school teachers and trainers from SMEs in the metal and electrical industry. Through their training as multipliers, participants pass on their knowledge to the rest of the workforce and to vocational school classes. In addition, qualification of works councils and youth and trainee representatives as ambassadors to counteract anti-democratic tendencies in their own companies.

Implementation

We offer content-related and methodological qualifications for trainers and vocational school teachers: In three modules, experts impart knowledge from the spectrum of discrimination and diversity in the world of work. Participating vocational school teachers and trainers are prepared to actively counteract these phenomena in companies or schools and to design these institutions in a diverse way. Finally, the trainers and vocational school teachers are trained to implement a didactic and methodical project in their school or company.

  • Communication and moderation techniques, methods of conflict resolution, mechanisms of discrimination
  • Mechanisms of discrimination, reflection of own roles and privileges, methods of intervention in the context of discrimination
  • Conveyance of content-related references, e.g. symbols and codes of the right-wing scene, conspiracy narratives, fake news, anti-Semitism
  • The qualification content is provided free of charge with a method case and can then be used in the participants’ own work.

The project also qualifies works councils and youth and trainee representatives as ambassadors to counteract anti-democratic tendencies in their own companies.
